Robbery attempt at Fair Grounds Race Course fails, suspect at-large

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are searching for the man they say attempted to rob the Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots.

According to NOPD, the man seen in the surveillance photos above entered the casino located in the 1700 block of Gentilly Boulevard just after 8 p.m. on Jan. 25. The unidentified man approached the cashier window and demanded cash, but the cashier refused and called security.

The suspect was then seen running out of the building on foot toward Gentilly Boulevard, according to NOPD.

Anyone with information on this suspects identity is asked to call NOPD at 504-658-6030 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
