NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are searching for a man caught on camera shoplifting from two stores.

According to NOPD, the man shown in the photos above shoplifted from a Game Stop and Famous Footwear on the Westbank.

The first incident occurred on Jan. 28 around 2:50 p.m. According to NOPD, the suspect entered the Game Stop located at 4071 Behrman Highway and asked the sales associate for a Sony PlayStation 4 and two games for the system. The sales associate retrieved the items and placed them behind the counter. As he prepared to ring up the items, the suspect asked him to grab one more controller for the system.

When the sales associated left to get the extra controller, police say the suspect stole the gaming system and ran out the door.

The second incident took place the next day around 7:30 p.m. According to NOPD, the suspect entered the Famous Footwear store located at 3038 Holiday Drive and picked out three pairs of Nikes. The suspect then walked out of the store without paying for the shoes.

Surveillance cameras captured the same suspect in both shoplifting incidents. Photos can be seen above.

Anyone with information in this incident is asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 504-822-1111.
