NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The cashier and customers at an Oak Street bakery were robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning.

According to NOPD, an unidentified man robbed the Breads on Oak bakery, located at 8640 Oak Street, around 8:20 a.m. on Jan 30. Police say the robber rode up on a red bicycle then pulled out a black handgun and demanded money from the cashier and customers. The cashier and customers all complied with the armed robber, who then fled the scene on his bicycle with over $300 in cash.

Witnesses described the robber as a black male, about 5'11" tall wearing green, Dickie style pants and shirt, black shoes, a dark blue Orleans Magic Jacket. He had a handmade ski mask covering his face along with a sweater-material beanie with a cuffed bill and a gray glove on his left hand.

Surveillance photos of the robber can be seen above.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Second District Detectives at 504-658-6020 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 877-903-STOP.
