LSU lands QB for 2016 recruiting class

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - LSU's 2016 recruiting class is considered by many to be the best in the country, but many would point out they still didn't have a quarterback in the group. That all changed today.

Zachary quarterback Lindsey Scott, Jr. verbally committed to LSU today. He tweeted out, "After talking to my family, with plenty of prayer, I've decided to commit the Louisiana State University."

Scott amassed more than 5,000 yards from scrimmage, 3,040 through the air and 1,963 on the ground to go with 61 total touchdowns for the Broncos in 2015. His team won the state championship over John Ehret 46-12.

For his efforts in 2015 the signal-caller also won the Gatorade Player of the Year award in football.
