Three armed robberies, burglary reported by NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The first incident occurred at 12:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of Frenchman Street.

Two men, ages 55 and 53, were approached by a suspect described as a black male wearing a black T-shirt.

He was armed with a blue metal revolver and demanded their belongings.

The victims complied and the perpetrator fled. 

The second incident occurred at 2:25 a.m. near the intersection of Buffalo and Curran Streets in New Orleans.

A 45-year-old man was robbed by his companion after a day of hanging out with friends.

According to New Orleans police department reports, the victim and suspect, identified as Alex Scott, 41, were hanging out all day together. They went to a friend’s house and upon leaving the house, Scott pulled a gun and demanded victim’s money.

Victim complied giving up approximately $200.00 in cash.

The fourth incident occurred around 8:23 p.m. in the 3900 block of Hamilton Street in Hollygrove.

The victims, both men ages 36 and 28, were outside when the suspect, identified as Belton Nettles, 35, pulled out a gun.

Both men ran inside the location and the Nettles then forced his way inside, pointed the gun at both of them and demanded money.

The men gave up their money and Nettles fled.

 The third incident occurred at 5:14 p.m. in the 12300 block of Lake Forest.

Two women, ages 17and 18, were taking pictures inside Six Flags when they were approached by four black men, all armed with silver semi-automatic handguns.

All suspects are described as being between 17-20-years-old. Three were wearing black hoodies, and one was wearing a white hoodie.

All suspects had short hair and have dark complexion.

The suspects demanded the victims’ property and they complied.

The subjects fled in a white four-door sedan with the victims’ purse, cell phones, and cash.
