NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - After de-committing from Alabama last August, Kentwood's Shyheim Carter has been one of the most sought-after recruits in the state, and in the last month, he says his suitors stepped their game up even more.
"There's a lot of different schools coming in late to the deal," says Carter. "There's a lot of schools that I like that are still recruiting me hard. It's just been hectic the last couple of days."
With his decision on Signing Day less than 48 hours away, the 4-star athlete, likely to become a defensive back, named his top three this morning: Ole Miss, Miami and Alabama.
"Miami, they were recruiting me before coach (Mark) Richt got there," says Carter. "Once he got there, he just took it to another level recruiting me. Ole Miss has been recruiting me for the last two years the same way, maybe even a little harder every time they see me. Alabama's been treating me the same way. They were the first school I really ever went to. I fell in love with the campus and the players and the coaching staff."
Carter will announce his choice on Wednesday morning in Kentwood.
