Covington Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted on several charges, including felony criminal damage to property.

The charges stem from a Dec. 26 incident at Butter Krisp Diner on U.S. Highway 190.

Investigators said at about 2 a.m., the female suspect arrived at the diner and got into an argument with an unknown black male. Six patrons, who were not connected to the argument, left the diner and were confronted by the female, who told them that they could not leave. She ordered them back inside while she continued the argument with the unknown male.

The victims refused to wait inside, and instead got into their car and tried to leave the scene. Police said as they were doing so, the female suspect began repeatedly kicking their car, then reached inside and punched one of the occupants in the face. She was pulled away, only to return and resume kicking the car, causing felony damage.

The victims of the attack all stated that they did not know the female and the attack was unprovoked.

The female suspect is wanted on charges that include felony criminal damage, simple battery and disturbing the peace.

Anyone with information on the identity of the female is urged to call the Covington Police Department at (985) 892-8500.
