NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are asking for the public's help finding a woman wanted for theft by fraud.

A credit card owner first noticed unauthorized charges on her credit card on Jan. 8 and canceled the card.

Investigators say on Jan. 13, she received a text that she had a package at the Fed-Ex store at 5214 Annunciation Street. But when the victim arrived at the store to retrieve it, she found that another had already picked it up.

Detectives believe the alleged thief used the victim's credit card numbers to make a mail order purchase.

Detectives viewed the store's surveillance video system and observed the woman getting the package about an hour before the victim arrived at the store.
