NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for a man accused of pointing a gun at his girlfriend’s father.

Once caught, police said 25-year-old Larry Sabatier will be booked with aggravated assault.

The incident took place at about 9 a.m. at the Brother’s Food Martin the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue. Police said the victim was getting gas when he saw Sabatier standing near the gas pumps pointing a handgun at him. The victim said Sabatier motioned for him to walk to the side of the building so they could settle an ongoing dispute between Sabatier and some of the victim’s family members. Instead, the victim went inside the business and waited for Sabatier to leave.

When Sabatier did not leave and again motioned for the victim to approach him, the victim called police and Sabatier fled the scene.

Anyone with information on Sabatier’s whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
