HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Five people face drug charges following the late-night search of a Houma residence.
The Houma Police Department said it received complaints about prostitution and drugs in the 400 block of Pecan Street and obtained a search warrant for a home in the area. Detectives said they found heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the house. A 10-year-old boy was inside the home at the time of the search.
Police arrested Tiffany Carlos, Shane Domangue, Edward Stovall and Jessica Rodgers and booked them with marijuana possession, intent to distribute marijuana and heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
Domangue was also booked on an outstanding warrant for parole violation.
Detectives stopped a vehicle as the driver tried to leave the home during the investigation. Police said the vehicle's license plates had been switched and there were drugs and drug paraphernalia inside.
The driver, Ramsey Dean, was booked with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and charges related to the switched license plates and driving with a suspended license.
Dean also had a warrant for his arrest.
The young boy was released to a relative.
