(FOX NEWS) - Three people face animal cruelty charges after several horses die.
Iberville parish officials said two horses were found dead and another had to be euthanize because of its poor condition.
The abuse was uncovered after the latest round of crackdowns against animal negligence.
The animals were reportedly starved. Last week, one of the animals was taken to a veterinarian; visibly showing bones.
Another horse was discovered dead tied to a pole.
One person is in custody. Police are trying to locate the two other horse owners.
