NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police say a drunk driver ran through a red light and caused a fatal crash.
Investigators say 37-year-old Chad Vidrine ran the red light at the intersection of Calliope and Annunication Streets around 8:00 p.m. Thursday. They say Vidrine's white Chevy pickup truck collided with a black Ford F-150.
Officers say the passenger of the F-150 was ejected and later died at the hospital. The driver of the F-150 remains in critical condition.
Police say Vidrine's blood alcohol content was well over the legal limit. Officers booked him with vehicular homicide.
