No one injured in Algiers 1-alarm fire

ALGIERS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a 1-alarm fire Friday afternoon in Algiers.

It started around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Mardi Gras Blvd. and Casa Calvo St.

The small, unoccupied house was fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived.

The house collapsed while crews extinguished the fire. 

There were no injuries and the fire was contained by 3:45 p.m.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
