NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We started off chilly again this morning as the North Shore fell below freezing and the South Shore felt like the 30s with the wind.
Today is a beautiful day filled with sunshine and calmer winds. Temperatures have been topping out so far in the upper 40s to lower 50s, so a jacket is needed. This evening will be very chilly for parades, so bundle up if you're heading out! Overnight, we will see another freeze on the north shore, so bring in pets and take care of plants!
We'll stay dry through the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds. We'll still be chilly, so parade goers will want to dress warmly. Another cold blast arrives on Lundi Gras and it gets progressively colder into Ash Wednesday. We'll need winter coats through Mardi Gras!
