Men who attend the Endymion Extravaganza this year may outshine their ladies if they sport the newly approved tuxedo fashion.

Traditionally, men were required to wear the typical black tuxedo, but for the first time, they’ll be allowed to wear colored jackets.

The folks at Tuxedos to Geaux have a stash of loud, flashy jackets to make your tuxedo game sing for Mardi Gras.

“We wanted to put some life in the party,” said Mel Grodsky, president of Tuxedos to Geaux. “The officers this year came out and took a look at what we had. It's something very unique and they wore it for their Coronation Ball, every officer wore one and now they made it so that you can wear these new tuxedos in many colors and fancy jackets.”

The trend is already taking hold, too, now that Orpheus will allow men to wear colored jackets according to Grodsky.
