Bruce: A cold but dry Mardi Gras 2016

Bruce: A cold but dry Mardi Gras 2016

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - We started off chilly this morning with temperatures in 40's. Another cold front is moving through now as windy conditions will pick up through the day. A wind advisory is in effect for the entire area through 6 PM this evening. Temperatures will struggle to get into the mid 50's behind the front, and it will feel like the 40's all day.

Even colder air settles in tomorrow. Expect a light freeze on the North Shore early on Mardi Gras. You will want to be in full cold weather gear as temperatures will really struggle to get out of the 40's with breezy conditions continuing all day. At least we will have sunny skies, though!

Another cold shot of air arrives Wednesday, but then we'll warm up to near the 70 degree mark by Friday!
