New Orleans police investigate two aggravated rapes in 12 hour period

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police say they are investigating two aggravated rapes in the city that happened Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday morning, according to initial reports.

The first incident reportedly happened around 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, in the 7000 block of Martin Drive. This location is in the Little Woods area, in eastern New Orleans.

According to the NOPD, a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at the location.

The second incident happened around 12:37 a.m. Thursday, in the 440 block of Bourbon Street. This location is between St. Louis Street and Conti Street, on Bourbon Street.

Initial police reports show, a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at the location.

Police did not give a description of the attackers in either incident.
