JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Two Marrero men admitted they used pellet guns in 2013 to shoot the windows of more than 200 vehicles on the Westbank.
22-year-old Christopher Flanagan and Dacotah Hamilton both pleaded guilty on February 4 to eight felony counts of simple criminal damage to property and 209 misdemeanor counts of simple criminal damage to property.
Both men will pay restitution for their victims. According to the plea agreement with the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office, the two men will pay more than $31,700 in damages.
Flanagan and Hamilton were ordered to serve five years active probation for the felonies and two years inactive probation for the misdemeanors.
The District Attorney's Office says the sheriff's deputies were able to use license plate recognition cameras to link Flanagan's 2001 Ford Escape to the December 2013 vandalism spree.
