HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Two men allegedly confessed to stealing from a Houma candle store to get money to buy crystal meth.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's office said it responded to Amy's Country Candles on West Main Street Wednesday morning and found that someone had taken cash from the store.
Deputies identified 26-year-old Kyle Lecompte and 21-year-old Nathan Gaubert as suspects and arrested them at separate locations about five miles from the store.
Investigators said Lecompte and Gaubert admitted to the burglary and told them they spent the stolen money on crystal meth.
Both men were booked with simple burglary of a business.
