Pelicans get crushed in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WVUE) - The Pelicans suffered their largest defeat of the season, losing at the Thunder tonight 121-95.

The Pels trailed by nine at the half, but got outscored by 12 points in the third quarter.

Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis scored a team-high 23 points.

Before the contest, there was a moment of silence for Ingrid Williams, who was killed in a car accident the day before. Ingrid was the wife of former Pelicans Head Coach Monty Williams. Williams is now an assistant for the Thunder.

This was the last game for New Orleans in eight days. The All-Star break gives the Pels time to recover from an underwhelming first half of the season, with a record of 20-33.

The Pels return to action on Feb. 19, against the Sixers.
