Louisiana Avenue traffic detour set for this weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board work in the Uptown area will cause a traffic detour on Louisiana this weekend.

The south bound lane (river bound side) of Louisiana Avenue at Baronne Street will be closed Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, 2016.

 AT&T will be working in the area related to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA).

A detour will be in place from Lasalle Street to St. Charles Avenue.

Residents and businesses in a different area of  Uptown area will experience low water pressure on Monday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Cooper Construction Company, working for the Sewerage and Water Board, will be installing a new water line in the area.

The affected streets will be Oak Street from Eagle Street to Joliet Street and Leonidas Street from Zimple Street to Oak Street.

Also residents and businesses in the 8700 block of Lake Forest Boulevard between Crowder Boulevard and Bundy Road will experience low water pressure on Monday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. 

A sprinkler system is being installed.
