RACELAND, LA (WVUE) -

Lafourche Parish deputies arrested two people Friday for allegedly shooting a teenager in Raceland.

Deputies said the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the Alidore community.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene, they discovered a teenage male victim shot twice, once in each leg. The victim was walking with friends between Williams Street and Triple Oaks Drive when they were approached by a vehicle driven by Brandi Johns, 26 of Raceland.

Deputies said Kantrell Hogan, 26 of Raceland, a passenger in the vehicle, got out and began shooting in the direction of the teen.

The victim was first taken to Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital in Raceland before being transferred to University Medical Center in New Orleans.

Deputies said they found Johns and Hogan at a residence on Brocato Lane, and they were found in possession of 1,023 MDMA pills, 12.3 grams of cocaine and 9.4 grams of crack cocaine.

Deputies said both admitted their part in the shooting during questioning.

Deputies said they booked Johns and Hogan with attempted second-degree murder, as well as possession with the intent to distribute MDMA, cocaine and crack cocaine.

Bond amounts have not yet been set, and the investigation into this incident is continuing.
