Police arrest man following Uptown shooting

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police have made an arrest in an Uptown shooting that left one man injured. The incident occurred Saturday night in the 800 block of Austerlitz Street.

According to police, a 53-year-old man and another man, identified as 35-year-old Will Moffett, were arguing when Moffett pulled out a gun and shot the man multiple times.

Police say that Moffett later returned to the scene where he was arrested. He was charged with aggravated battery by shooting.

An NOPD spokesperson says that the victim's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
