Workout Wednesday: Targeting arms with Napoleon from the YMCA

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Personal Trainer Napoleon Benoit of the Dryades YMCA in Central City shows us some great exercises to tone the arms. If you're looking for a quick arm blast, try doing a set of these exercises. See video to follow along.

Chest Fly 

  • Place hands through the handles
  • Perform a bicep curl by bringing arms straight up with a slight bend in the elbows
  • This can be done for 10 - 15 reps

Overhead Tricep Extension

  • Bend arms overhead and push out
  • This can be done for 10 to 15 reps

Rope Curl

  • Grab handles and while keeping elbows tucked in nice and tight, pull up on handles
  • This can be done for 10 to 15 reps

Wood Chop

  • Stand with feet shoulder width apart with open hips
  • Using your obliques, pull straight up with eyes following the motion of your hands
  • Perform this exercise on both sides
  • This can be done for 10 to 15 reps.

Increase the number of set according to your athletic ability.
