LSU falls apart in second half of loss to Alabama

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - With two-thirds of the SEC season in the books, LSU entered Wednesday night's matchup against Alabama in the driver's seat of the conference but the Tide mounted a 45-33 second-half comeback to derail the Tigers' momentum by a final score of 76-69.

LSU had star power with Ben Simmons, Craig Victor II and Keith Hornsby all scoring in double digits but the rest of the team managed a meager ten points as a 36-31 halftime lead melted away. Alabama Head Coach and native New Orleanian Avery Johnson relied on his senior guard Retin Obasohan, who scored 34 points.

The Tigers now fall one game behind Kentucky in the SEC standings heading into a trip to Tennessee on Saturday.
