NOPD investigating two Wednesday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police are investigating two Wednesday armed robberies.

The first incident happened around 4:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Lavender Street in Gentilly.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, met a woman by the name of "Ice" near Bourbon and Canal Streets. After a brief conversation, the victim and "Ice" went to a different location where he was lured to the rear of the residence.

Once there, the suspects, described as black men, approached and robbed victim.

The thieves took the man's 2012 or 2013 Black Chevy Impala.

The second incident happened around 7:38 p.m. in the 9600 block of Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East.

The victim, a 27-year-old man was walking in a parking lot when he was approached from behind by two suspects, described as black males.

One of the suspects put a gun to the victim's head stating "I want everything out of your pocket."

The victim complied giving subject with the gun his wallet and a disconnected Metro PCS cell phone.

The thieves then fled in a green SUV with a dent in the rear.
