NOPD investigates 4 shootings Thursday

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Police are investigating four separate shootings that occurred within a matter of hours Thursday.

Shortly after 2 p.m., someone shot a 16-year-old male in the back of the neck in the 2700 block of Bennett Street in Algiers. The victim's underwent surgery  but investigators have not commented on his condition.

Nearly three hours later, someone near the intersection of Foucher Street and Loyola Avenue fired a gun. The victim in this case was hit in the foot.

Then, just before 6:30 p.m., a third gunshot victim arrived Tulane Medical Center. The victim's condition is not known.

The fourth shooting took place just after 7 p.m. inside an apartment at the Wind Run complex in New Orleans East, where a 19-year-old man was shot multiple times. He is in critical condition.
