Police need help finding a man wanted for an attempted home burglary

ALGIERS, LA (WVUE) -


The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three unknown males who are wanted for attempted residential burglary. The incident happened in the 3600 block of Rue Mignon Street on February 11, 2016.
 
Around 12:30 p.m., a male victim told police that when he returned home, he discovered the rear doors to his house pried open. The victim later told police that after he searched through his personal belongings inside, he found there was nothing missing from the interior of the house.
 
Neighborhood surveillance video shows three unknown black males entering the  Algiers subdivision, and canvassing the home's backyard. The suspects attempted to break through a side window, but were unsuccessful and ran off on foot.
 
The Fourth District Investigative Unit is in charge of the on-going investigation, and can be reached at 504-658-6040.
