Optimism was high for LSU's basketball program after they beat 15th ranked Texas A&M last Saturday. The Tigers shot up to a predicted seven-seed by ESPN's Bracketology after the 76-71 win.

This past Wednesday, all those good feelings went by the wayside after a gut-punch loss to Alabama. The Crimson Tide came into the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the tourney bubble, and left Baton Rouge with a 78-69 victory, helping their postseason prospects in the process.

The loss sent LSU out of the top spot in the SEC standings. Plus, the Tigers now are squarely back on the tournament bubble. ESPN's Joe Lunardi installed 11 as an 11-seed, and one of the last teams into the NCAA Tournament.

CBS Sports also does a Bracketology prediction, and the Tigers don't even make the tournament as of now.

LSU faces a tough test tomorrow playing at Tennessee. The Tigers a 3-5 on the road this season.
