Police seek 2 persons of interest in Piety Street shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are searching for two people they believe have information that could lead to an arrest for a Friday night drive-by shooting.

Police identified 18-year-old Dushawn Davis and 18-year-old Tanya Davis as people of interest in the case of a drive-by shooting on Feb. 19.

The shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Piety Street around 10:20 p.m. An unidentified man was walking on the block when a vehicle drove up and an unknown person within opened fire on him, shooting him in the leg.

Dushawn and Tanya Davis are not suspects in the shooting, police just believe they may have information that could help detectives solve the case.

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Fifth District Detectives at 504-658-6050 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
