After a spectacular Saturday things will not be quite as stellar for Sunday. It should still be a fairly nice day, but we will start to notice some changes. Overnight Saturday into Sunday remains mostly dry with an opportunity for low clouds and fog as we head towards morning. The fog will lift, but we can expect more cloud cover during the day. By late in the afternoon and into the evening hours an approaching frontal boundary may be near enough to spark one or two showers.
The real chance for rain really doesn't take over until late Monday. The slow-moving cold front just to our north will sink south into the Gulf allowing for numerous showers and a few thunderstorms. This front is relatively weak and stalls just off shore. It quickly returns north as a warm front keeping rain chances in for Tuesday. Wednesday, the stronger front arrives with more thunderstorms, but dry air and high pressure behind the front will clear us out for the rest of the week.
