The weekend began with a couple of spectacular days, but Sunday is not quite as nice. It isn't a bad day either. We are just experiencing quite a bit more cloud cover and a few light showers.
Most of the rain showing up on radar did not reach the ground early in the afternoon and as the day wears on we are just seeing the moisture catch up in a way that allows for some light showers to make an impact.
Late night into Monday morning is when the real rain begins. It will likely be wet for the morning commute, particularly on the North Shore as a slow moving front makes its way south.
The front will allow for quite a bit of rain, but no big changes in temperature as north of the boundary most locations are in the 70's for highs as well. This boundary will stall along the coast keeping rain in the picture through Tuesday.
Late Tuesday into Wednesday we will see a strong upper level system approach finally pushing the front along and allowing for some strong thunderstorms. Behind that second front things clear out and we end up with cool and dry conditions to finish the week.
