NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police arrest a 31-year-old man for hitting and injuring five individuals with an ATV after losing control of the vehicle. The incident occurred Sunday at 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of St. Claude Avenue and Lizardi Street.

Police say that a man, identified as Earl Guy, was driving the ATV on the street following a second line parade, when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle and hit five adults. All of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Following the accident, Guy tried to flee the scene, but nearby officers took him in to custody, police say. He was taken to the DWI office for testing prior to being taken to jail.
