Hornsby left after only 12 minutes of play in the Tigers 81-65 loss to Tennessee this past Saturday.
Nola.com reports on the SEC teleconference this morning, Jones confirmed that Hornsby is out indefinitely and added, "ESPN could be right. There's a chance that he could be out for the rest of the season, but I don't know that as off yet."
Hornsby underwent sports hernia surgery at the start of preseason practice and missed the first eight games of the season.
