Carjackers hold up man Uptown

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are searching for two subjects who held a man at gunpoint Wednesday and carjacked him.

It happened around 12:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Robert Street.

The victim told police that he was getting out of his car when he was approached by two unknown males that held him at gunpoint. He also told police that the carjackers took his cell phone and keys, and fled in his car onto Dryades Street.

Investigators say the car was a black 2007 Audi A4 with a Louisiana license plate number SIR424. Police say there were no surveillance cameras in the area that may have captured this incident on video.

The first suspect was described as a male around 5'8" tall, medium build, wearing a multi-colored hoodie and unknown pants. The second suspect was also a male around 5'8" tall, wearing a maroon hoodie and unknown pants.
