NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Detectives released surveillance images of a man accused of attacking a worker at a Dollar General store in New Orleans East on Feb. 18.

The New Orleans Police Department said the suspect walked into the store in 8400 block of Chef Menteur Highway around 8:47 p.m. and made a purchase. When the register opened, he allegedly took cash from the drawer.

When an employee tried to stop the robber from leaving, police said he slammed the worker's head into the glass door and ran away.

Detectives said the suspect is wanted for robbery, simple battery and theft of goods.
