MANDEVILLE, LA (WVUE) - People on the north shore won't need to cross Lake Pontchartrain much longer to shop at a Whole Foods store.
According to our partners at Nola.com|The Times-Picayune, Whole Foods Market has begun hiring managers for a new Mandeville store. The store will take over part of the site of a former Albertson's supermarket on Highway 190. A Forever 21 outlet store opened last year, occupying the rest of the former Albertson's space.
This projects marks the first opening of a Whole Foods store in St. Tammany Parish. Whole Foods hopes to open its doors on the north shore within months.
