David: Temperatures dip as week ends

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It's going to be a really cold night across the entire area.

Most of the North Shore can expect a light freeze or close to it. South of the lake, look for readings around 40 degrees in the city and mid-30s around Belle Chasse. The River Parishes, Upper Lafourche and Terrebonne will be in the upper 30s.

After our cold morning, bright sunshine will warm us into the 60s. We will continue with lots of sun on Sunday with readings near 70 degrees. Clouds move in on Monday, but it stays dry. A cold front will bring a line of showers to the area Tuesday and Tuesday night. Cooler, breezy and drier weather returns for Wednesday.

Next week ends with sunshine and mild temperatures.
