NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police need the public’s help to find Lakisha Hunter, 39, for a theft at Carr Pharmacy in 3500 block of Holiday Drive.

Police said the incident happened around 2 p.m. Thursday.

A male victim told officers that he left a written prescription on the counter at the pharmacy department. He left the store without realizing he hadn’t taken the prescription with him. After returning to the counter, he saw that it was gone. He told police he reported the incident to the store manager.

After reviewing the store surveillance video, detectives identified Hunter as the person who took the prescription. She was described as a black female, wearing a pink bandanna across the top of her head, a blue jean jacket, tan floral pants and carrying a large black purse.

Police said she fled the scene in a dark-colored Nissan Altima.

If you know where Hunter is, call Fourth District detectives at (504) 658-6040 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
