KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

A Gretna man is accused of sending threatening emails to a school that did not hire him.

James Bibbins was arrested Wednesday and booked with cyberstalking. The Kenner Police Department said Kenner Discovery Charter School started receiving obscene and threatening emails last month. Detectives said the emails came from Bibbins' account.

The 23-year-old applied for a job at the school but allegedly lied about his education, work experience and references. Police said Bibbins confessed and told them that he always wanted to be a teacher and was upset that he wasn't hired.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.

Bibbins received a summons in August of 2015, for a similar incident involving Elmwood Park Academy in Gretna.
