St. Paul's wins third-consecutive state soccer championship

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

St. Paul's claimed a 3-peat in soccer, Saturday night, beating Acadiana 3-0 to win the Division I title.

All three state titles for the Wolves were won by the same score. St. Paul's topped Grace King in 2014, and Jesuit in 2015.

Austin Groeneveld scored the first two goals for St. Paul's giving them a 2-0 halftime lead. In the second half Michael Boudreaux scored the final goal in the contest.

St. Paul's was playing in their sixth straight title game. Their record is 4-2 in that time.
