NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Thousands of registered Republicans and Democrats gear up to head to the polls to cast votes in their party's primary tomorrow.

Republicans Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, and former President Bill Clinton will all be making  last minute pushes in the area.

Former president Clinton will campaign for his wife Hillary to become the Democratic party's nominee later this morning. At 10:30 a.m. he will hold a rally at the Ashé Power House on Baronne Street.

On the Republican side, Trump will be campaigning at the Landmark Aviation Terminal at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport at 6 p.m. and at 7 p.m. Cruz will try to rev up support at the Castaine Center in Mandeville.

Our Fox 8 political analyst Mike Sherman says that while Louisiana voters still have a chance to sway this election tomorrow, there are other powerful factors that come into play for this race to the Whitehouse.

One candidate that won’t be in Louisiana is Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio. He canceled his trip to Louisiana earlier this week.
