Kenner police release names of couple found in submerged SUV

KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

The couple whose bodies were found in an SUV submerged in Lake Pontchartrain on Friday near the boat launch have been identified.

Kenner Police said Wallace Dillion, 69, and his wife, Abbie Dillion, 70, were discovered in a 2008 Nissan Xterra that appeared to have entered the water from the boat launch at the end of Williams Blvd.

Officers responded to area around 9:30 a.m. after receiving a call about a possible submerged vehicle in the lake.

The Kenner Police Department does not suspect foul play, and the incident is being initially classified as a traffic fatality.      

Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser encourages anyone who may have information concerning this investigation or Wallace and Abbie Dillion to call Kenner Police Traffic Investigator John Terranova at (504) 712-2222.
