A Hahnville High School teacher arrested for alleged sexual conduct with a student was arrested again Friday night on additional charges.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating an allegation of inappropriate behavior between a teacher and student at Hahnville High School.

Jeremy Eusea, 30, of Paradis, began inappropriate text messaging conversations with a 17 year-old student, according to authorities. The texts were sent during and after school. Deputies said they included pictures. The suspect is accused of also having physical contact with the student.

During the ongoing investigation, detectives discovered that Eusea had allegedly been inappropriately texting a 16-year-old student from 2010-11 as well. According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, the conversations happened during and after school hours and included inappropriate conversations and pictures.

As a result, Eusea was arrested again on March 4 and booked with the additional charges of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor, Indecent Behavior of a Juvenile, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, Pornography involving Juveniles and Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between an Educator and a Student.

Police initially arrested Eusea Thursday, March 3. He was charged with sexual battery and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.

The school released the following statement Friday morning:

“As soon as the school system was alerted to the allegations, an investigation was immediately conducted and the Sheriff’s Office was notified. The school system has been fully cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office throughout the investigation.  The teacher is currently suspended without pay. This is a personnel issue; therefore, no other information will be released at this time.”
