Favors scored 28, paces Jazz past Pelicans, 106-94

FOX 8 FOX 8
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - -

Derrick Favors had 28 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks, and the Utah Jazz snapped a five-game losing streak with a 106-94 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night.

New Orleans not only lost its fourth straight game, but might have lost guard Eric Gordon for the rest of the season after he again fractured his right ring finger - just eight days after returning from the same injury.

Gordon Hayward scored 24 points for Utah, which entered the night's action two games behind Houston for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Rudy Gobert grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked two shots for the Jazz, which broke open a 70-all tie with a 14-0 run to close the third quarter.

Anthony Davis had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Pelicans, but missed 20 of 31 shots.
