KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

Kenner Police arrested a 22-year-old Metairie man on robbery charges Friday.

Officers said Brayan Zuniga-Lopez entered the Kwik Saver store at 2525 W. Metairie in Kenner around 1:48 p.m., pulled a knife on the cashier and robbed the store. He then fled in a red vehicle.

Shortly after the robbery, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff Deputy saw a 2014 red Hyundai Sonata on Airline Drive. The deputy noticed it matched a witness description of the getaway vehicle used in the armed robbery. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and found Zuniga-Lopez behind the wheel, along with a knife, money, envelopes and cash taken during the robbery.

Bond for Zuniga-Lopez was set at $75,000. Anyone with additional information about the armed robbery is asked to call Kenner Police.
