It will remain windy overnight with gusts over 30 mph at times especially near the coast and around the lakes. There will be little in the way of rain. Wednesday will be a lot like today with maybe a few more passing showers or storms. The potential for very heavy rain will increase late Wednesday night.
As of now, computer models are in general agreement that a wide portion of our area could see 3-6" of rain by Friday. However, it must be stressed that the potential for even more rain is there. It's too early to pinpoint the locations or the amounts. A few storms could be severe over the next couple of days but the real threat will be from flooding.
A flash flood watch will likely be issued tomorrow. The rain will come to an end on Saturday with drier weather on Sunday into early next week.
