NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Blake Dean's impressive run in his first year as Head Coach at UNO continued Wednesday night as the Privateers fought back from a six-run deficit against Tulane, picking up a 10-9 walk-off win.

The Green Wave jumped out to a 6-0 lead, thanks to 2-run home runs from Hunter Hope and Grant Brown, but the Privateers rallied to lead 8-7 after seven frames. In the top of the eighth, Lex Kaplan singled to bring Jake Rogers home, then Hope scored two batters later on a wild pitch to regain the lead.

UNO went into the bottom of the ninth trailing but Jay Robinson and Ryan Calloway reached base, giving Aaron Palmer two runners on base with two outs. The junior infielder roped a single to right field and a throwing error allowed Robinson to score first, followed by Calloway as the team flooded out of the dugout to celebrate the victory and their 11-2 start.

Tulane falls to 8-5 and will host Furman over the weekend. Dean's team plays host to Southland foe Sam Houston State.
