COVINGTON, LA (WVUE) -

Flood waters ended a retreat for dozens of high school students on the North Shore.

About 60 teenagers from St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace were staying overnight at Camp Abbey Retreat Center on Camp Rd. in Covington.

Authorities evacuated the group Friday morning and brought the busses home, according to the New Orleans Archdiocese.

An image sent in by a FOX 8 viewer showed the gets in what appears to be good spirits and good health.

They were being taken away in a large utility vehicle. The water was up past the school bus tires.
