How to donate to flood relief

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The United Way announced it is accepting donations for flooding victims. The United Way of Southeast Louisiana serves Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes. Many families had to be rescued from rising flood waters.

The United Way says torrential rains caused widespread flooding throughout Southeast Louisiana, damaging homes and businesses and leaving many without a place to stay.

United way supported programs along with nonprofit Community Impact Profit Agencies provide food, clothing, counseling and other services for storm victims.

People in need of help should dial 211.
